Securing Your AWS Environment with GuardDuty: Integrating S3, SQS, and SNS

Introduction to AWS GuardDuty
AWS GuardDuty is a threat detection service that continuously monitors for malicious activity and unauthorized behavior to protect your AWS accounts, workloads, and data stored in Amazon S3. Integrating GuardDuty with S3, SNS, and SQS

SQS Queue Subscribes to the SNS Topic: To ensure that findings are not lost and can be processed reliably, you can subscribe an SQS (Simple Queue Service) queue to the SNS topic. The SQS queue will store the findings until they are processed.
Automated Remediation with AWS Lambda: You can trigger an AWS Lambda function from the SQS queue. This Lambda function can be programmed to perform automated remediation actions, such as:
- Isolating the affected EC2 instance by changing its security group.
- Revoking the temporary credentials of a compromised IAM role.
- Applying a restrictive bucket policy to the affected S3 bucket.
- Notifying your security team via Slack or another communication channel.
