FocalLens - Visualizing Narratives through Focalization

I am grateful and very thankful to Prof. Naimul Hoque for his guidance and support on this project.

FocalLens is an interactive narrative visualization tool that helps writers and literary scholars analyze focalization: who sees, narrates, participates in, and observes events across a story.

The project explores narrative components that are often underrepresented in existing visualizations, moving beyond character and location co-occurrence timelines to represent richer relationships between events, characters, perception, participation, observation, and narration.
